Founded in 1985, the Friends of St Mary’s Church supports the preservation and evolution
of the church buildings and environment. Dating in part back to the thirteenth century,
this magnificent church stands at the top of Goudhurst hill and at the centre of
the village, occupying a position which has been a place of Christian worship perhaps
back into Saxon times.
