The  Friends  is  a  group  people  who  appreciate  the  beauty  and significance  of St Mary’s Church. Together we are committed to supporting the preservation and evolution of the church building and its environment so that it may continue to play a vital role in the village of Goudhurst for many generations to come. Friends’ activities are managed by their committee which is elected at their AGM. Current committee members are:

Derrick Head, our patron, has been a source of energy and inspiration over the years, in particular chairing the Friends’ committee and tirelessly making  a huge number of quality wooden products to raise significant sums of money.
